A year on

Alan Johnston talks to The Times about his life just over a year since he was kidnapped in Gaza. July will mark one year since his release,

“I tried to make it a normal day, but I could remember everything that was happening to me that day a year ago,” he says. “I could remember what was happening at particular times of the day. At this time I was at work, at this time I was about to get into my car. It’s been on my mind these past couple of months, more than at any time since my release.” link

Johnston is now based in London and back at work with the BBC where he works as South Asia Editor.
