If you are involved in any aspect of book or magazine publishing, want to meet other people in the industry and join the debate about the impact of new media and technology then sign up now.

Panel: Tom Tivnan, the Bookseller; Chris Finnamore, test editor, WIRED; James Bridle, independent publisher who blogs at booktwo.org about the future of publishing; David Edgar, UK Director of IREX who will also be demonstrating the DR1000 e-reader and the DR800SG, which launches at the end of this month in the USA.

The Frontline Club’s networking parties are a unique opportunity for current members, new associate members and invited guests to mingle in the Frontline Club’s Forum and Club bar over drinks served courtesy of Chivas Regal and Beefeater Gin between 7pm and 9pm.

The Frontline Club is also running a competition for budding writers as part of this event.

Entries will be judged by senior journalists and editors and the winning article will be published in Frontline: A Broadsheet, the quarterly publication printed by the Frontline Club. The winner will be announced on the night.

The competition is open to writers and journalists under the age of 25. The piece titled ‘My Generation’ should be 1,000 words on an issue/topic related to their country of origin. For more details please contact [email protected] Deadline 19 October.
