On Wednesday 1 June, we were joined by a panel of experts to discuss how the one child policy has come to shape the fabric of modern China, and its repercussions. The event was chaired by (L-R) author and commentator on Asia Paul French and speakers included Mei Fong, author of One Child: The Past and Future of China’s Most Radical Experiment, journalist, broadcaster and writer Isabel Hilton and Jeffrey Wasserstrom chancellor’s professor of history at the University of California.
