The films details a brutal 72 hours in the life and death of the Muslim refugees from the town, which had been declared a United Nations safe area and was under the protection of Dutch UN peacekeepers.

These Muslim men were taken by the Bosnian Serbs and executed in fields, schools and warehouses. They were buried in mass graves.
