In the lead up to the Sony World Photography Awards, the World Photography Organisation presents the third in its new PhotoTALK series.

Stuart Smith joins a panel of industry experts – all members of the 2013 Sony World Photography Awards Honorary Jury – including Tim Paton, Managing Director of Balcony Jump Management Ltd.; Chien-Chi Chang, Magnum Photos photographer; and Francesca Sears, Director of Panos Profile. Together with live and online audience participation, they will discuss the many commercial opportunities out there for any type of photographer and analyse the difficulties that many face in making their business a commercial success. The panel will hit on key points, such as diversification, marketing, grant applications, award recognitions, agency support vs. freelance, dedication and refinement of your craft.
